HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- Get ready for singing and dancing around the “Spirit Stick.”

Universal"s “Bring It On: The Musical” will be coming to the stage in early 2011, producers announced Wednesday. The original film, released in 2000, starred Kirsten Dunst, Eliza Dushku, Jesse Bradford and Gabrielle Union. Four direct-to-DVD sequels have followed. “Bring It On: The Musical” draws its inspiration from the popular films, but is completely original in story.
