'Bring It On' takes to legit stage
Opening night set for Nov. 11

The national tour of "Bring It On: The Musical" starts Nov. 1 in Los Angeles.
Competitive cheerleading makes its way to the legit stage this fall in the Center Theater Group's musical comedy "Bring It On: The Musical."
Inspired by Universal's series of "Bring It On" pics, the tuner musical will have a new storyline following a cheerleader who has it all until a surprise letter turns her world upside down.
Project will feature a libretto by Jeff Whitty, music and lyrics Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tom Kitt and Amanda Green. Andy Blankenbuehler will be choreographing and directing the production.
The production will launch its national tour with a six-week stint at L.A.'s Ahmanson Theater from Nov. 1-Dec. 11. Several Tony Award winners have assembled in the creation of the musical and will feature a libretto from Jeff Whitty, music and lyrics Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as Tom Kitt and Amanda Green. Andy Blankenbuehler will be choreographing and directing the production.
Opening night is set for Nov. 11.
