William Hundert (Kevin Klein), a classics professor at an elite boarding school in the 70's, attempts to instill a sense of ethical integrity in his teenaged students, only to find himself contending with the arrogant son of a U.S. Senator. Years later, reunited with his now grown students, the teacher musters the strength to uphold his convictions despite a crushing betrayal by his former adversary.
